New NSS Members Manual

Postby Cheryl Jones » Jun 15, 2006 9:57 am

The 2006 NSS Members Manual is in the mail! :kewl: However, since it is mailed super snail class, it may not arrive in your mailbox for a couple of weeks.

Many thanks to Editor Meredith Hall Johson and her team. :thanks:

Nope. Hard copies only.

The suggestion has often been made over the last few years, however many members have said that they do not want their contact info available on the Internet. To institute a secure password system, and have the member signing on checked against the database of members for that day is more of a project than we are able to take on right now. Phil Winkler or IT Chariman Josh Bailey can speak to this far better than me.

Might'n that be an issue with the post office and not with the NSS? Did you inquire with the office about a lost copy?

Did you contact Stephanie at the NSS Office? Ask her to send you replacement copies? And to check for a glitch in the database, since both pubs didn't arrive? Stephanie and her team really don't scheme to withhold pubs! There is no conspiracy.

Dues reminders are mailed from the NSS office, however the office does not mail out the publications. That is done by a mailing house.

The NSS office staff do not know that you didn't receive a copy unless you tell them. They'll send you replacement copies, if you ask. The problem could be at the mailing house, with the mailing label/database, or at the post office.

I'm not sure what you mean by posting that link. But I don't think the NSS Office folks reads Cavechat, or at least not regularly. I think you need to contact the office directly.

Here's a link to the office info:

Me too - I just got back from running errands and it was in the mailbox. Awesome cover shot - haven't looked through the publication yet.
