Postby luke » Dec 26, 2010 4:58 am

Hi,

I bought this nice "Texas Cavers Calender 2010" with pix of nice "natural" cavers - congratulations.
Is there anything similarfor for 2011?

Save caving!

shhh but my friends and I have some plans to make one >_>

more details next month if it happens. So you'll miss a "month" oh well. I don't fly to TAG every day. If it goes well though should have it put together by mid-Jan.

Hope you don't find guys objectionable. I'm one of Sungura's friends :)
Darkness is impossible to remember. Consequently, cavers desire to return to the unseen depths where they have just been.
Darkness never satisfies. Darkness cannot satisfy. Especially if it takes something away, which it almost invariably does.

Yeah being the only girl in the group I'm gonna have my work cut out for me :P No worries to those who prefer girls, I plan on trying to steal the spotlight quite a few times :woohoo:

Just got back from TAG, photos taken, will be put together.
It...won't be the *best* of calendars, we had limited people and limited time and limited cave and limited tech to do it with but better than nothing and you'd be surprised at what we could come up with! And if anything, naked caving is fun, just sayin'
And it's for an awesome cause.

(ok in all fairness, it is basically "we are all college/grad students and need money for gear/we also really want to cave in England together so maybe this will get a bit of extra cash please please please please please")

"naked cavin is fun..."

Its not the naked cavin thats fun its watchin the the naked cavers...assuming the right gender mix!

Amy, Beyond the obvious "sell your body for fun and profit" approach...you might try showing up at a few big caving events. Horse trading is common and a girl always have the advantage against dirty old men :big grin:

I don't follow...I was at TAG. Anyway, maybe I'm just different, I don't see it as "selling my body" - the photos are rather tasteful and I think of bodies as art. Perhaps that is the artist in me though who feels that way. I am sure there are those who see nekid bodies in only one dirty light, but it doesn't have to be that way. For example, my new avatar here, while cropped of the full version, is my fav photo of me in a long time. For me, it's cool to come from years of having lots of body self-image issues (abusive father) to be able to look at that photo of me and think "huh, wow, all I heard about how fat and ugly I am, I really don't think that's true." It is very freeing.
