two-deep monitoring

Postby ohiocaver » Jan 8, 2015 9:47 am

Does anyone's grotto have a youth caving policy statement that includes two-deep monitoring and other considerations when caving with scout, church, or other youth groups? Can you please post same either here or in a pm? Cleveland grotto is considering addition of a statement of some sort to our Grotto Manual which mirrors the BSA's 2-deep policy. Has anyone else done so? We are familiar with the JSS policy. But we want to examine (crib) established policy statements that other grottoes may be using....both to protect young cavers and the grotto, itself.

Generally the Philadelphia Grotto follows the rules of the youth organization we are working with. That being said, a few of us are registered as BSA adult volunteers.
2-deep is a really good idea...
