25' Of webbing found

Postby ditchdoc » Dec 27, 2008 7:55 pm

I found a piece of webbing @ Scottsboro Mtn Pit on Dec. 26. Identify it and it's yours.

Well you got the 1" part right! The owner will know more details than color!

Red, 1 inch tubular, slightly faded from repeated washings, folded wrapped and tied with a figure 8 and it's 25 feet long!

No, wait, yup, it's still in my pack..........never mind

OK, I'll play. 1" tubular, shiny rescue orange, chained up nicely, maybe just a touch of mud deep in the weave which won't come out. :big grin:

I've never been caving in Jaw-ja, but maybe some of my gear has??

Olive green 1" tubular, tied to an old rusty refrigerator that we tried to haul out of the pit but gave up on. "NOT LOAD BEARING" written on it in purple ink. "NOT LOAD BEARING" also written on the refrigerator, just in case. The ol' fridge was, after all, on fire. That's why we gave up on retrieving the webbing.

Do you have the refrigerator, or just the webbing?

Oops. I guess that's what happens when people neglect to mention what state or region a cave is in. :big grin:

All these people are liars who claim the webbing as their own. They all fell for your ruse, as only the owner (me) would know that it is actually a 24 foot piece of webbing.

Honest mistake and logical assumption since the OP lives in GA.

Us T.A.G. folks are bad about jumping state lines with regularity. I can get to caves in all 3 states with an hour or less drive from my house.
