Has any folk tried these guys out? i have seen the LED style made by teklight and available at http://www.led-replacement.com/tle-300m.html but these guys seem to have a well built torch for the module.

Any comments from users out there

No I hadn't seen them, interesting I was once thinking of doing something similar with some of the heatsinks you can get for D and C Maglites and using a TaskLED board and 3 Cree or Seoul LEDs to make a torch or even butcher the torch to make a headlamp but I got moved on to other projects...

It doesn't mention being dimmable which I would rate as an important feature for this sort of torch, you don't want spotlight performance all the time .
