Sten Light Reflectors

Postby Mark620 » Mar 5, 2008 7:31 am

I have found the manufacturer but the minimum quantity is fairly high.
I know 3 people that want them.
How many people would be interested in these?

If you could find Jon Burlison, I'll bet he has some leftover.

I can't comment on the reflectors you're talking about, but the ones Jon sent me smoothed up the beam tremendously. Is this in preparation for Seoul-ification? I was told that I needed reflectors in order to upgrade the emitters to SSC's, but I don't know that for fact.

Unfortunately Jon is no longer in business. He had a personal tragedy and is no longer around.
These would be made by the same company that made his.
Im trying to get a feel if there would be enough interest in them to have another run made.
What I would like to do is have another run made and get current sten dealers to distribute/sell them.

If there is not enough interest this will not happen.
I have been told that there are no more reflectors available anywhere.

BTW I believe you can use the optic with the SCC P4's.
It works fine in the APEX with its optic.

Have you contacted StenSat about this to see if they'd distribute the reflectors as an "official" upgrade?

the reflectors are a SIGNIFICANT upgrade to the stock optics of the Sten light. however, i did also hear a rumor that Sten was considering their own production run of reflectors, so it's worth contacting them.

I have contacted sten:

interesting - that's different than what David Niemi at Sten told me a few months ago when I bought my custom model from them!
