That's an awesome video of a phenomenal engineering project!
:bananabat:

Hah, someone will complain! :argue: The first guy at the dig site was in a cave without a helmet. The first two guys shown on the surface *did* have helmets!

Anyway, thanks for posting. There sure better be a good reason to go to that much trouble, and I sure hope they find a lot of cave!

The main advantage is that 30 mm T-profile used as the rail is possible to bow without any other tools, just caught between two rocks as support.

The rolls are from ball bearings. There should be enough space among rolls and rail to drive through all curves.

so whats the purpose? afterall, why are they digging an endless tiny passage? do they know it connects to something larger or have they simply ran out of better leads, lol

Even if it goes or doesn't, that is one impressive tram system. I am sure there is a reason they are working so diligently on this dig. Was that corrugated roofing tin holding up the left side of that passage!?

Main advantage of this construction of hanging rail for transport of material is that 5/4" steel T-profile one may curve by hands with help of two trees or rocks or cleft in bedrock. :)
