CARBIDE LAMP

Postby N.M. Prospector » Nov 15, 2007 2:57 pm

I found this lamp, and don't know what kind it is. It does not have a name on it, and it is not brass. Some kind of steel. Thanks for any help.

Yes, I am just getting started in collecting carbide lamps. I am also into prospecting. The wife and I have some mining claims, and do get a little gold. There are some old mines on my claims that are at least 100 years old. I saw on this forum, where some still use carbide lamps, and thought I would pick their brains for a little info.

If you go to this guys site you may be able to find your carbide lamp(s), I don't have the time to go through all the pages of lamps he has....

Thanks for the info. I called Larry (clickster) and he told me that my lamp is a justrite hand lamp. He sure knows carbide lamps. One real nice guy.
