For what it's worth, the Kovea Backpacker Stove :campfire: has done me well for over 10 years of backpacking, overnight caving, and military use. I'm on my second one now - but only because one of those bottom feeders that work for TSA lost my first one while "making sure my baggage was safe to fly." I contemplated other options, but ended up sticking with the same model.

I bought my latest one here, but you may be able to find them somewhere in the US. Kovea also makes titanium stoves and models with piezo igniters, better wind protection, hose-type burners, etc.
