I vaguely remembered reading some of those threads - and now again! Seems like the Elios got mixed reviews. Initial reports from a couple of people about the plastic rivets wearing down/popping out appear to have given way to more happy reports overall from cavers using the Elios.

For those who may not like the foam inside (ie warm climate cavers) there is always the Petzl Vertex family of helmets too. They seem like a similar light design to the Elios, but with the regular suspension and not the foam. They make vent and non-vent versions. Any cavers out there use these? How do they fare?
