Does anyone know what email Mark Joop is using these days? No response from the one posted in this old thread and I don't see him in the members manual. Better yet, has anyone known him to import the Etche boots recently?

I don't see him in the members manual.

Page 132 (NM) and 35 (NSS directors.) But the NSS Current Personnel list shows him now in TN, so the Members Manual email address may not be up to date.

Regardless, the best email address to use is the one assigned to him as director: mjoop.director@caves.org (Any director may be reached by first initial last name @caves.org. :egyptian: )

my joop boots finally died this weekend. I got a split in one on the top that went down and also towards the side. I think i will have to try some shoe goo to fix it. I've been using these for several years and this was the first issue i've had

Mark Joop no longer lives in Tennessee. Now he is a tour guide for some large cave...

I have a pair of Joop boots that are too large. I tried them once in the clear water of FL to see if I could sump dive with them, but they're too big. I think they're size 45 or 11. Anybody interested?

I want a pair of these, I cannot seem to find a place that sells them at all!, I know they are still made though, as their website is still up.

Mark is now working as a Park Ranger at Carlsbad Caverns. His email address is: cavexplorer@charter.net. You can also try and reach him via his mobile: 1 865.207.9111

PS: I love my Joop's, but if he doesn't have any on-hand, they take about 3 months to get once they are ordered.

I would like to know how these boots are better or worse than boots you could buy @ a farm and fleet store?

Yeah, sorry. I was down in FL cave diving. I checked when I got back and there is no insole to measure. I'm pretty sure that they are too big for you. Bummer, it would have worked out to get them to you.

Mark J is historically hard to reach.

Mainly the tread and quality of rubber are better. The rubber is very sticky, like climbing shoes. Nothing I have tried from a farm store can match the tread or stickiness of Joops.

well they do none of us any good if we can't get them. Mine are almost worn out and I need a new pair. I emailed Mark with no reply. Anyone know of other sources for them?
