I shipped the light USPS priority to Mark friday (5/25), and he will send it to Alan. I tossed in a post it note with Alan's address in the box so he should have that. I charged the battery as well before I sent it.

I took the modified STEN to SERA but not that many people that I talked to about it were very interested. A few people even criticized it...

What is the run time of the Modified VS standard sten???

Alan - The light went out on the 12th to you.
Battery is fully charged too!

At the post office they asked if there is anything dangerous in the package...
I said NO and thought to myself  unless the battery not shorts out and explodes.. :hairpull:

Hopefully you just checked "no". It's nothing more dangerous than a cell phone, and most of us have one next to our thigh all day long. There is the (rare) occurence of explosion of a LiIon battery. It's possible, but so is lightning..

Well I sent my light off to Scott to be "born again" with the mod. I'll report back after I get it back.
Thanks to Jon for working this up :kewl:
I've seen some of Scott's work on Candlepower Forums. He's very skilled at this sort of thing.

I GOT THE LIGHT!!....ITS HAVING ISSUES!!, sometimes the light will not come on unless you wiggle the battery cable right where it comes into the light at. But no big deal i can still test it out like this.

Still, not bad for a light that obviously took a severe blow, or was run over at some point in the past.

Well that should work out well for you, since the bracket is bent and the light fires a little to the left anyway
It's like those new headlights on the Lexus, that turn with the front wheels!

I got a ship notification from the modder guy, so I think he's already done putting in the new leds and maybe I'll get it before this weekend.

Yesterday I got my light back in the mail from Scott the mod-man. So it took exactly one week to mail it off and get it back. That's pretty good service. He checks the light over and cleans it as well as replacing the LEDs with "something a bit brighter". He also sent the old LEDs that he removed in a plastic baggy.
Holy cow is this sucker bright! Gonna have to be extra careful of other folks eyes when using this.
