Nylon pants

Postby GypsumWolf » Feb 23, 2007 4:12 pm

I trashed my old Polyester caving pants. I am seeing If any of my pants I own will be good. How is 100% Nylon? Does it dry very fast?

I will be waring Polly Pro longs underneath the pants.

Depends on how thick they are. Lightweight windbreaker jogging pants will shred before you get to the entrance. Heavy duty nylon is what caving coveralls are made of. Drying time depends on how thick the nylon is. Nylon and Polyester have fairly similar characteristics regarding your question.

I have used them before in caves (only like 3 to 5 times) and they work fine. They are somewhat thin, but there is not a single hole in them yet!

If my Polypro's get wet and my nylon pants get wet will they nylon allow my polypro's to dry fast as well (since they are underneath the nylons)?
