Mini-mag gets a technological upgrade ....
Posted: Sep 26, 2005 11:21 pmI saw this in some Target/K-mart/Walmart type store and had to get it. Now you can change the skinny little bulb found in traditional mini-mags with three LED bulbs.
The only modification is changing out the reflector and removing the original bulb.
It's bright alright. The light reaches a good 15-20 feet before dissapating/weakening.
It was about 9 bucks but I think it'll be worth it. In keeping the two AA batteries I should expect a good long life out of them with the LED array now in place.
It works well as an area light utilizing the head of the flashlight as a base.
I'm happy with it.
