Us motorcyclists have known about this for years though it does sound like this will be an improvement.
https://www.cyclegear.com/heated-gear
They even make them for divers these days though I've always been warm enough in a wetsuit so haven't needed to consider them.
Or just pack a couple of these

I remember really wanting battery powered electric socks back in the '70s. I think these are a little better! :woohoo:
