I remember seeing a lady/merchant selling/sewing knee pads at NSS Conventions. Who is she? Does she have a website?

I am guessing it was Phyllis Boneau. She is in the NSS members manual -- as of 2016, she is an NSS Fellow.

Could have been Mary Rose with Salamander. Was most of her stuff orange overalls and red knee pads? www.salamandercavinggear.com
Two remarks: If you have soccer-player size legs be sure the straps on the knee pads will go around your thighs/calves. Mine did not (so my slender-legged daughter inherited a great pair of knee pads).
The coveralls, while not cheap, are really nice. I love mine.

You might be referring to Cecile James who ran B & C Wunderwear. I remember her at NSS Conventions and TAG Fall Cave-Ins repairing cave gear. I would often go to her to have my cave suits repaired. I was just thinking of her this weekend after I got another hole in my cave suit, wishing she was still around. She unfortunately died in 2014. I am not aware of anyone that runs a business repairing cave gear anymore but it would be handy to know if there was a business out there that repairs cave gear like cave suits.

Hi,

Yes, it was Cecile. I'll build my own knee pads based on her design. I was unsure about the sides she put, but a friend has them and they don't turn around the knee, unlike my Howitzers, that also curl at the bottom, exposing the fragile backing fabric, that quickly tears up, letting the inside foam slide down and out of the pads.
