Information from the uk forum

http://www.phaethoncavinglight.com/

All lamps looks very well designed (caving and diving). The caving lamp are in the same price range as the scurion. The diving torch is very pricy.

Interesting. I can't imagine them selling too many of the canister dive torches at that price. But the caving light that also goes u/w looks nice! Does anyone have any experience with it?

Beautiful light. I like the idea of it coming with an external and very high quality Nitecore charger and your own "free" batteries. That way you are not dependent on a special battery pack that only the manufacturer can sell you. Gives more freedom in the field.

I have one and love it, very nice wide beam and the spot has a far reach, not as far as the pulsar but the Pheathon's spread is much brighter.
This video I took is all lit with the Phaethon headlamp:

Why you compare Pulsar and Phaeton. We are using Custom build driver 2000 lumens claimed by Phaeton is not possible, because technical specifications of the LED are measured at 21-23C of the Emitter core and max lumens are made in the lab.The heat sink of phaeton is small(caused by the small size) and it is impossible to be used at, even middle levels without overheating. Phaeton have no good temperature controlling. They told to customers not to use at full power more than 2-3 minutes(their words).

side by side infront of our caving hut switching between the two, nothing scientific. I like my phaethon lamp and my friends who have the pulsar like theirs. I am sure you can get into the tech but I don't regret my purchase.
