ZebraLight was very kind about this, they stood behind the 2-year old headlamp. I was up front with them about the expired warranty and wanted to see if we could fix the lamp. I left all the options open and was not expecting anything. Just open their Contact page on the ZL web site and send them a web mail.

Ive been using my h602w and h600 mkII for months now with zero complaints whatsoever. I regularly hold them under water for pics and they bounce around in my trunk mon-fri.

I got my H602 W XM-L2 light on Friday, and put it to use on Saturday in a new pit I found. While it is certainly bright, it appears that my GoPro needs even more light to work with. I may have to experiment with some of the settings to see if anything improves. As far as the overall impression of the light, it is very nice. The warm color and wide flood remind me of carbide, except a lot brighter. And of course without the smell, hassle, and other negative aspects of carbide. As far as the batteries, time will tell how they work out-so far, so good.

Which lamp would you prefer if you could only have 1?

The h602w is a wide flood thats good for most everything so i would get that first. You want a h600mk2 which is a spot for when you walk into a big room and want to light up the other side or look up a 200ft. Dome to see the formations at the top. The "w" stands for warm colored led (4400k) which is much more pleasing to the eye than the traditional blueish colored ones. Zebra also makes a h600f where "f" stands for frosted lens. Ive got one but is definatly a compromise because its not as bright as the spot and not as wide as the floody. Another problem with the frosted lens is the light it makes appears dull and shaddows seem smoother around the edges and part of what makes things appear cool to the eye are sharp lines and contrast. To each their own but i will always go with a naked floody warm colored led for the best cave experiance.

I just bought two from OR1. I got the spot and the flood. What they sent me is the frosted lens, so now I may have to buy a third just to see the difference. I can always use the frosted lens for placed lighting in photos.
