Brunton customer service?

I had heard that even though both of my instruments are trashed that Brunton will repair them. I have sent 2 emails the the black hole email address on their website, no replies.

Any clues to how I can get this done, or am I misinformed?

Thanks!
Bill Folsom

If you are talking sunto/sisteco style compasses (not the pocket transits) you probably would be better off going to forestry supplies - (www.forestry-suppliers.com). They repair them in the same way, replacing the compass/ clino cartridges...

I think it's worth checking with the manufacturer first. I once had a bad bearing on a Suunto compass and they instructed me to ship it back to them for evaluation. They sent me a new one at no cost. If the damage is clearly neglect by the owner then you may be on your own. There are many other threads discussing repair options and I'm among those who think it's probably just cheaper and easier to buy a new/used Tandem on eBay than it is to have an instrument repaired.

Thanks all for the help. Considering mine are about 15 years old and most def used up, I went to ebay. Scored a new tandem in the box for $129!!!! May still contact manufacturer anyhow.
