Petzl Vertex Vent Problem

Just picked up a new black Petzl Vertex Vent helmet. I love the way it fits, but the headlamp clips really suck. The opening for the headlamp strap is on the top instead of the bottom like my other helmet. So the strap wants to keep riding up the top of the helmet slipping out of the clips. I've loosened and tightening the strap nothing helps. So either I secure it with zip ties on the side or bite the bullet and screw a Sten onto the front of it!!!! Anyone else have this issue, seems like a design flaw to me.

Welcome to the forum.

Do you mean the 4 clips on the corners of the helmet? I thought the elastic headlamp band slipped in behind the clip from the bottom, like on the old helmets?

Uh, yeah, you're doing it wrong. It's like Jansen says. Look again.

Got it figured out, I guess in my excitement , I overlooked where it slid under and between the clips. Thx

Also the vertex has a built in blade mount so no need to screw a sten in. It should just slide right in. I have heard it isnt quite deep enough for a sten so some people modify them though...
