Ive always caved in contacts and never had any issues. We do a lot of digging as well. But I do carry spare glasses in pack just in case

What happens when you get dirt in your eye/contacts? Is it just as tolerable as dirt in the eyes? I imagine it would damage the contact lens.

I think most will underestimate the safety goggles. They are completely necessary, and you know this after being hit in the eye with micro-shavings of rock bits... I am lucky and thankful I haven't sustained any injuries from digging yet. Aside from the usual cuts, bruises and cave-rash. Last dig ate my whole elbow. :yikes: Hopefully tomorrow we can validate some airflow we've noticed while ridgewalking. PM me if you want details. Gotta keep it on the :shhh: , :down: .

I have had some dirt get in my eyes but it never really bothered too much!
