What was your plan for your lighting setup combination?

I was planning to use my Spark ST-6(500CW) as my primary source, using the standard setup for it--regular reflector and non-frosted lens. I really like the ST-6's ratio of the bright spot size and its intensity relative to the rest of the lit area. As a side note, it worked like a champ in Blue Spring Cave (TN) a couple weekends ago... heading back to Crashing Spire Plunge.

Then I ~intended~ to use the H600 as my mojo flood light when in big chambers or pits.

The idea was to have a fantastic all-around like (ST-6) then a beefy specialist.

But the nonexistent customer service of Zebralight (imagine, if you will: what if you needed to invoke your warranty... hmmmm?), and the incompetence of the US Postal Service is conspiring against my will.

Oh well, once I'm done getting my money back (and I will), it will be going straight over to Spark in order to buy an SD6.

I don't think you'll be disapoonted. Now I can't wait t get a st6!
The only thing I'd change abOut the spark regarding the ui:
When in let's Say med2 and u want tO go up to max, you press and hold the button, but it starts from low and cycles through. Instead of starting from med2 and going right to max.
Not a big deal.

If I want to go up to "max" (which I rarely run more than a few seconds, or a minute a most), I just do the double-click to turbo.

Someday... Oh well.

They won't call me back.

The USPS says it's not responsible because the package wasn't insured.

My credit card company says it won't help because "it's not fraud..."

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ZEBRALIGHT.

Ha! I just got my Zebra light SD600w. I haven’t used it in a cave yet but it's a nice light! You think Zebra sucks and I think Spark sucks

Regarding "my" Spark SL6... I received it only to find it had a problem. I sent it back (USPS insured) to sbflashlights. It never got there. Fast forward a few months and the post office is denying my claim because "delivery was attempted and was undeliverable as addressed" therefore they won't pay (I don't want money back I just want the package). The only thing SBflashlights is willing to do is go 1/2 with me on a new light  With shipping the defective light back and paying ½ + shipping I think that is bad customer service. Especially since SBflashlight has admitted they had a very small problem with receiving packages. I think they could have done a lot more. It wasn’t my fault the light was bad to begin with

Go figure

Sorry to hear about everyones misfortunes.

I finally tried my sd6 in cave and I'm very happy with it. The wall of light this thing puts out is impressive with A very wide spill angle. I mainly used it on max setting with quick bursts of super. I can see using the med2 setting in smaller passages. The tint is nice too. Not too blue at all.

Now I need a st6 to complete the setup!

So, Jeff, did you end up paying, or what did you do?

No I haven’t decided yet. I was still hoping my appeal to the post office would work.

I just got a Zebra light SC600w. It’s floody. I love it BUT I think I need to get the right battery for it. It draws so much current on high, cheaper 18650’s won’t do the job. Even my one 2900AH Redilast didn’t last too long. I am thinking of getting the new 18650 that is 3100mAh IF it will fit. I need to go back to candlepower and read up on this.

I have the Lacross 9009 AA/AAA charger and love it! I tested all my AA/AAA batteries over the last week. All my enloops tested better than rated. My 2700AH sony’s all were above 2600. 3 of the 4 Lacross 2600 batteries tested above 2500 but one only tested at 2100 (repeated several times). I should add that I knowingly abuse my batteries.

I want a 18650 charger that is like the Lacross 9009. I want to see how much current goes in, I want to see the charging voltage, and I want to be able to test the batteries capacity.

I have a west mountain CBAII and a Maha 777+ that I use for testing bigger packs for scuba diving but it’s much more of a pain than the Lacross 9009.

The SD6 I sent back three months ago arrived in my mail yesterday. I submitted an insurance claim and it was denied, I appealed, my appeal was denied, I appeal again and that is still in process. The PO said my package was undeliverable as addressed therefore they didn’t have to pay!!!! What a SCAM! My package came back and both the from and to were clearly labeled.

I am sending the SD6 back and hopefully I’ll have it back soon.

But, after using my new Zebralight SC600w in the cave I am not so sure I want so much high power flood. I guess the great thing is I can select a lower level and get a longer run time.

My new Zebralight SC600w is great but I still really like my Fenix PD31. I feel the SC600w has too much flood. I’ll need to start looking for a good small thrower. I do like the switch in the head of the SC600w.
