Time laps cameras

Postby jeffkruse » Mar 24, 2011 11:21 am

Has anyone here used time laps cameras in a cave? I want to see how high the river will go during rain events in the area over a month or two. It might also be interesting to watch soda straws grow over time. Thoughts?

I've always wanted to do that at Dry Creek Cave to see it in flood.

Here's an interesting link about time lapse cameras:

That might be one heck of a lengthy time lapse. I agree it would be very cool to see them grow in a time lapse, if it's possible or practical.

I've seen reference to data logger systems which monitor water levels in caves and other places. Might be more useful than a time lapse camera.
