The Orange Power Wellies, created in collaboration with renewable energy experts GotWind, use a unique 'power generating sole' that converts heat from your feet into an electrical current. This 'welectricity' can then be used to recharge your mobile phone. Orange, Official Communications Partner for the Glastonbury Festival, will be showcasing the Orange Power Wellies prototype onsite.

Interesting. Though heat from your feet sounds more like sweatricity.
Letting the days go by / water flowing underground
Into the blue again / in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones / there is water underground.

Curiously enough I had the idea about 20 years ago to put piezoelectric pads in the soles of the boots and generate power for my caving lights from them.

The idea fizzled not from expense, or lack of usable power generation, or anything like that. I never pursued it simply because I spend far more time using the toes or tops of the boots than the soles.

So I didn't give the idea the boot.
