Cavemud, I took your idea and may have gone overboard by cutting off the bottom portion of the canister. Now the undiffused pattern is pear-shaped and it seems there is less light being diffused down? So it’s reverse of what I was expecting.

How did your sluts work out?
Balincaguin comes from the Zambal phrase, "Bali lan caguing" meaning "house of bats."
This was the former name of the Municipality of Mabini, Pangasinan, when it was part of the Province of Zambales (of Mt. Pinatubo Volcano fame).

yeah, i've even tried a ping-pong ball but no way to lock it in like the canister and it gives a yellowish cast (the white ones not the yellow ones).
