CaveChat question/suggestion...

Postby Rick Brinkman » Feb 17, 2010 1:34 pm

Is there a way to make links in this forum open in a new tab or page?

I thought that this was an issue with my browser settings, but other forums that I frequent, DO open links in a new page or tab.

It should be a browser setting under Tools, Tabs. If that doesn't work try your control panel, Internet Options, Internet Properties,Tabs, Settings, Tabbed Browsing Settings, Open Links from Other Programs in A New Window.

You can just right-click on the link you want and select open in a new tab or open in a new page. You can write webpages to automatically open in a new tab or window with very simple HTML coding but your browser settings will still override it most of the time. Using right-click is probably the easiest way.

I've been opening links as a right click.

Checked all my settings.....they are correct.

Just seems like links from this forum USED to open in a new tab/page.

Because other websites/forums still do open links in a new tab/page....I thought it might be a setting that could be changed on CaveChat.

Guess I'll just live with "right-clicking" the links.
