A few more nails might help solve that problem. Apparently the rock just wasn't up to it.
When we first started breeding german shepherds, I had a couple who would scale 6 foot dog wire and would even jump it. After we got through stringing electric wire in, over and around their pen, it looked like a concentration camp. Now they have the run of the back yard with 6 foot wooden privacy fencing(still have the electric wire though), and they seem to be happy with the larger area. Dogs resent small inclosures and will constantly try to escape. A large running area makes for happier animals. Besides, would you want to be locked up in your own bathroom with no ability to flush?

Funny how this video posted here the question comes up if the dog is a caver... while on a Martial Arts forum the question arose if the dog was a Ninja... all depends on how you look at it.
I saw it and just couldn't believe my eyes. Agreed that a couple more nails here and there should solve the problem... but yeah they do need to get out since Beagles love to run run run run.
It's what they were bred to do... go after other things that run run run, rabbits, foxes, etc.

I used to have a basenji that would climb out of a 6' chain link kennel. I got an extra side panel for it to use as a lid. He would still climb up and try to push through the top.
When facts are few and far between, hypothesis defies all logic, as to how an individual came to the conclusion, that the point that they are trying to make, is indeed true and not just the fabrications of a deluded mind.
