If anyone is still following this issue, I suggest a look at the Vol. 14, No. 1 2008 issue of Skeptic Magazine. They have a number of related articles on gobal modeling error bars, alternative energy which could really work and not destroy the planet, just how gobal CO2 and other greenhouse gases are measured,etc. For the most part, it isn't apologist and does raise some disturbing questions shoved under the rug by the proponents using emotional appeals to recruit adherents.
