Parking in Brooklyn for a visitor

I am looking at spending a week in the big apple. :woohoo: Since this would be a "family" type trip, flying is out and driving is the way we are traveling. Thanks to caver hospitality, we have accomodations lined up. However, I would like ideas/suggestions on where I could ditch my car during the week.

Any restrictions at the lots just off the Airport? The best price I have seen so far is $100  for the week.

You could try your luck with street parking. A whole lot of New Yorkers don't bother paying for garages. I don't know where you're staying, but ask how full the streets normally get. It would also give you options if you wanted to get somewhere that's not convenient from a subway.

Plan to stay in Brooklyn. I also plan to use public transport to get around so the car would be dropped off on a Saturday and retrieved on a Friday or early Saturday.

Scott,

Knowing the parking situation in the Big A, I called a friend of mine who runs a parking lot there, says he can squeeze you in!
