Are Cave Closures Killing Jobs?

Postby tncaver » Nov 26, 2012 2:34 pm

Are cave closures killing jobs? Quite likely they are. Loss of cave access is sure to have a detrimental affect on tourist dollars for small towns in caving areas as well as for caving equipment vendors. One vendor has his business up for sale now. I don't know if it is related to cave closures or not but I would not be surprised if it is. Which company will close next?

Lost Creek Packs the company is for sale.

Well folks, I've owned it for almost 13 years now, longer than any previous owner, but I'm now officially done. Lost Creek Packs is for sale. I've mostly enjoyed making stuff for the caving community.

Yep. I saw it. That research was more of an opinion and logic paper than statistical research and it fails to provide factual data.
