There are lots of blind fish here too. Perry county is full of grotto sculipn. Other caves in missouri have the blind ozark cave fish.

In our cave we just have BFF's.

Well, not only do we have river caves with tight crawl ways, but we have to deal with hundreds of these bastards slapping us in the face in those crawlways. PiMp CaVe!

Well at least if you get lost and are stuck in the cave for several days you would have something to eat, whether its good or not.

mmm sushi. Unless someone is on carbide still and you could cook with that? (I really don't know so that could be stupid to say) Actually, I can't stand fish. Sushi is even worse. But if it was "eat it or die" I probably could so long as I could keep it down (which, if I couldn't keep it down, it'd be worse for me to eat it I'd think, right?)

That does look pretty damn pimp. What's the water temp down there? I have a 3mm and a 7mm wetsuit... can survey but no SRT (yet). I've always meant to ask about maybe coming down to your area one of these days.

Dunno, never took a thermostat. 58* I guess, we wear 5mm suits and get along just fine unless we are standing around for prolonged periods during survey.

Somehow I had a feeling you were going to say 5mm. Which means I might wind up having to explain to my wife as to why I need yet another wetsuit...

Oh well, I really like wet caving. Was just in Coldwater over the weekend. The water was rather high and fast flowing. Was a little rough going up against the current, but I was able to do a lot of floating on the way back down. That's a fun and relaxing way to travel.

Yeah I have been hearing about wetsuits lately.
Should I look into getting one or something? I always thought they were super expensive.

If you plan on wet caving, you need a wet suit. No if's and's or butts, else we will be reading about you like the 2 kids in ellisons. And that's no BS.

I love wet caves and have done some, yeah. Although the ones I've done were either little (one up north) or mixed wet/dry I've not had any issues yet nor been told I need one to do the caves I've done. But yeah, could see it being a good thing to have for longer trips in the water. Would love to do more wet trips!

Can they be gotten locally so I can try them on? I'm assuming I will have the same issues as under/oversuits with fit. I mean, these are any ol' wetsuit right? Not special caving ones? What's this thickness deal? How much should I be looking at this setting me back?
