Bat Costume for Halloween

Postby self-deleted_user » Sep 15, 2010 2:15 pm

So I actually got invited to a halloween party this year...I don't think I've dressed up since I was 7 years old haha. Anyway, I thought what would be cuter than going as a bat? I think I want to be a brown bat because I want to go for more realistic over scary black bat look...I know there are vampire bats but I go more for the cute than playing up the scary.

I was thinking brown pants and sweater, I could make bat ears for a headband, maybe do some facepaint. But how to design the wings for my arms? Any ideas?

Amy, I made bat wings one time (mine were black) I made the frame with wire then bought black velvet and stretched over frame and hand stitched on. maybe you could find brown velvet or flannel or fleece? :bananabat:
