Coffee addict? Try Cat Poo Coffee: $40 a cup

Aussies go crazy for cat poo coffee3:00PM Thursday May 17, 2007

CANBERRA - Cafe-crazy Australians in the last decade have embraced coffee in all its forms, but they've saved the most expensive -- and excremental -- for last.

Kopi Luwak, made in neighboring Indonesia from coffee beans excreted by native civet cats, is reputedly the world's rarest and most expensive coffee, painstakingly extracted by hand from the animals' forest droppings.

When roasted, the resulting beans sell for around US$1,000 a kilogram ($1365/kg) and brew into a earthy, syrupy, coffee acknowledged by connoisseurs as one of the world's finest.

"It's as good as my private life is bad. This is the kind of coffee you renounce your religion and sell your child for," one taster quoted by AAP said.

Wayne!!! You're just a few days late with that story!!!!

There I was struggling for a present for my brother's 60th birthday present. One of his hobbies is roasting coffee beans! I could have given him civet cat coffee bean poop! Instead, I got him Schwetty Balls.

Yeah, after somebody told me about the Schwetty Balls, and I perused their website, I had to google for the skit, and yep, now I have seen it. I watched it about 3 or 4 times!

Oh, by the way, before got them for my brother, I talked with his wife, and she emphatically assured me that her husband didn't have Schwetty Balls.
