This isn't mine....So I hope this is allowed on here if not a moderator can remove this. I'm sure someone at one time or another was looking for this book. It looks in rough condition but the price may be right since it still seems usable. I personally enjoy an original. Even if I have a different one I read regularly.

It looks an original first edition, paperback. The first editions are very rare and hard to find, but occasionally pop up. I think more people get excited over an original hardcover; of course you could always have this one bound.

I agree, It looks like it ended up selling for only $15.50 + shipping. I personally enjoy my hardcover as well. The durability of them. This one like many cave books, is one that gets well used.

The First Edition is the only one with good quality photos.

The Tennessee Division of Geology had NEVER sold out a publication before, so they didn't save the plates for the photos. When the First Edition of "Caves of Tennessee" sold out, they had to take photos of the photos !!!! So, all subsequent issues have poor-quality photos.

Hello

It was Me who had the honor of purchasing this book. Since the picture is good quality it's certainly the first edition of 1961. The binding is slightly worn but overall the book is in good condition.

Thanks Michael for this ebay link.
