Talk about RARE !!! The OLD NSS Bulletins (Numbers 1 - 20) were printed 8.5 X 11 and were not "scientific" like the later issues. There are good, interesting, READABLE articles in these issues. Here are four (4) issues available for sale:
Bulletin 16 (1954) includes: "Caves of Indiana", "Ice Caves of the United States, "Regional Development of Limestone Caves in Middle Tennessee" and lots more.
Bulletin 18 (1956) includes: "The Leather Man and His Caves", "The Hell Hole in the Muota Valley", "Blind Fishes Found in Cave Pools and Streams", and lots more.
Bulletin 19 (1957) includes: "Discovery in Flint Ridge", "Addenda to Caverns of West Virginia", "Non-Carbonate Deposits of Carlsbad Caverns", and lots more.
Bulletin 20 (1958) includes: "Big Room Cave of Payne Cove", "America's Deepest Cave" (Neff's Canyon Cave), "An Initial Survey of Caves of the Hawaiian Islands" and lots more.
All are in Like-New condition, but they have been covered with clear "Contact" on the outside to preserve them. Looks pretty good.
I'll start this auction at $40 ($10 each). subsequent bids must be in $5 increments. Postage will be an additional $5. No international Shipments. This auction starts today, March 31 and ends in two weeks on April 14 at 8:00 CDT.
Good luck !!!
