Auction #104 is for a Hardbound Copy of "Amid a Place of Stone" by Frank Butler (1967). This copy is in like new condition, except for my name and NSS number written inside the Front Cover. The Dust Jacket is like new, also. The book is 5.75 X 8.5 with 370 pages.
This book is a novel, loosely based on the accident and death of Don Ball in Higgenbotham Cave (now Cumberland Caverns) in 1950. The author, Frank Butler, was born in Nashville in 1929, so he was familiar with the story. IN FACT, Butler, Tom Barr, and Don Ball went to help with the rescue !!! They were actually on their way to meet Don Ball when the accident occurred.
I'll start this auction at $3 and shipping in a padded mailer will be an additional $3.00. All bids must be in even dollar amounts. No International Shipments.
This auction starts today, October 14, and ends in two weeks on Tuesday, October 28, at 8:00 CDT.
Good luck !!!
