Auction #95: "Caves in Kansas" (1993)

Postby Larry E. Matthews » Jul 1, 2014 7:38 pm

Auction #95 is for "Caves in Kansas" by James Young and Jonathan Beard, published by the Kansas Geological Survey as Educational Series 9 in 1993.

This copy is in like-new condition, 8.5 X 11 and 48 pages long. Contains maps, diagrams, and color photographs. Very nicely done. Softbound.

This auction opens at 4.00. All subsequent bids must be in $2 increments. Postage will be $2 additional.

This auction starts today, Tuesday, July 1 and ends in ten days on Friday, July 11 at 8:00 CST, so that I can get it in the mail before the NSS Convention. Or, if you will be at the Convention, you can pick it up there and save $2 shipping.

Sounds like a great book. But, are there that many caves in Kansas? The only things I saw driving through that state is cattle, crops and level ground.

Well...................it's not Tennessee. But, there are caves. I think the book describes maybe 100, just off the top of my head. The book is upstairs and I'm downstairs.

Some of these are gypsum caves.
