Auction #78 is for a Hardbound Copy of "Subterranean Climbers" by Pierre Chevalier (1951). The Dust Jacket is not too bad and the book contains Black and White photographs, drawings, and maps. 222 pages long in an 5.75 X 8.75 format.

This is a wonderful book, the sub-title of which is: "Twelve Years in the World's Deepest Chasm". This book describes the exploration of the world's deepest cave (at that time) in the French Alps. We might think of this as Vertical Caving 101.

Although originally written in French, this Edition is in English.
