EDIT: SOLD. On Rope 1 MaxPak (Mega) cave pack FS

Postby Jeff Bartlett » Nov 14, 2012 8:20 am

EDIT: This pack has been sold. Thank you for looking.

I have an OR1 MaxPak, used once, for sale. This was literally used ONCE, at Blunder Hole in Jackson Co, AL where I had to carry several ropes to the bottom of the cave and put them in a drybag to keep them dry.

This pack is actually the first MaxPak he built; I asked him to build a copy of the classic Howie's Harnesses "Vampire" pack out of the toughest PVC-like material he could find, and he liked the result so much he added it to the OR1 product line. When I bought this one last year it was initially called the Mega, but Bruce changed the name. It's large enough to fit a darren drum (cur-tec barrel) and made from a very stiff, tough material. Using aquaseal (or seam grip) on the seams would make it reasonably waterproof.

Specs are here: http://onrope1.com/store/index.php?p=pr ... &parent=12
I have modified it slightly by removing the large handle in the middle of the back, which I found to be quite uncomfortable.

Great pack, I just never carry this much stuff anymore, except for camp trips where I use my expedition-size pack.

EDIT: Asking $60 plus shipping $50 shipped. This pack needs a good home.

First come, first served. Paypal strongly preferred unless you're local.
I'll clean it before shipping! :)

This is still available. For fans of the Howie's Harnesses Vampire, this is Bruce's updated version of that pack.

Bumping my own FS thread. I'm surprised no one has jumped on this -- it's a very well-made, very tough pack in a classic design. Make me an offer!
