Carlsbad Cavern Relighting Project - Scoping

Hello,

Carlsbad Caverns National Park is in the process of upgrading the electrical and lighting system throughout the visitor portion of the cave. The goals of the project are to provide an enjoyable experience to park visitors, protect and restore cave resources, maintain visitor and employee safety, and improve the efficiency of park operations.

As part of this process, the park is seeking public input on specific issues that need to be addressed by the project team. The public will also be invited to comment on specific project alternatives and environmental analysis at a later date.

We would like to have all of the suggestions in writing by April 10, 2010 either emailed to paul_burger@nps.gov or to:
