Here's a conservation story from Lava Beds NM in California

After all these years, the NM at Lava Beds has come up with the idea of filming the Crystal Ice Cave, so that others might see this beautiful lava tube that is spectacular. Unfortunately, the powers that be trying to conserve this cave allow only six people in on any one Saturday during the winter months and its off-limits, basically, the rest of the year.

Hopefully, those who think it's O.K. to break into gated caves :yikes: won't try that here; and, will respect what a gate stands for! But, of course, like they say, "A lock or gate only stops those who are honest and not those who are hell-bent on doing what they want to do. :boxing: :cave softly: :argue:
