I think I can see "ABODE", but the rest seems unintelligible.

They look like carbide soot, so they would be 20th century. Some og the lettering came off, amking the rest illegible. I do not know why everybody chost to write on the same rock.

I see what may be "EJM NO 9882" near the top. It used to be fairly common for NSS members to leave their names and numbers smoked about, though they usually wrote NSS or just their number instead of "NO". The NSS database shows that this number isn't current, it was assigned in 1967. Someone can probably tell you who it belonged to, Phil Winkler has done this for me in the past, and you can see if the initials EJM match.
