KKC cave cleanup

Postby caver.adam » Oct 3, 2013 1:03 pm

Happy to share a recent cleanup done with some members of the Kentucky Karst Conservancy. There were two small sinkholes on a neighbors property that were full of trash and we went over to help cleanup. One of the sinks had a pit in the bottom so we had to rig in for safety. My favorite find of the day was that the TV in there was full of vacuum tubes. Dye tracing shows that these sink holes drain into a major regional aquifer that feeds a nearby creek.
