A question about grand caverns,va

I went to grand caverns for the second time today. at grand on of the unique features they have is that the limestone bedding is at a 90 degree angle. the first time I was there the people called it a snap fissure. this time, they did not. I was wondering if anyone knows what the process is called.

Bedding plane tilt. Happened as a result of mountain building activity...i.e., beds tilted as a result of the pressure which raised the Appalachian range.

I am one of the lucky people who have had the pleasure to survey this cave. Not all the bedding is 90 degs. In the "back" of the new section the bedding plane is more horizontal.
