You have from now to June 26 to register in order to attend a Selman Bat Watch. There will be 12 opportunities in July to see the only public viewing of Mexican free-tailed bats in Oklahoma, as each Thursday, Friday and Saturday of that month will be available. If you haven’t seen this spectacle, it is well worth your time.

Every summer night the bats leave their roost to dine on flying insects, cruising right overhead of the viewing area. “From a distance, the flying columns of bats look like smoke. But when you’re sitting right there, and the bats pass over your head, there’s no doubt you’re seeing and hearing bats. It’s a unique experience,â€
