Franklin Science Center 230
20 participants
Thursday, August 8th, 9:30 am

The NSS Biology Section (http://nabn.info) and the Stygobromus Working Group (SWG) are organizing a workshop for cavers interested in learning more about North American groundwater amphipods. Offered on the morning of Thursday, August 8th at the NSS Convention in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, this session will be aimed at teaching cavers how to look for and identify different types of cave amphipods. During this session, participants will learn where to look in caves to find amphipod species, determine what characters are useful for amphipod identification. In this workshop, cavers will get a chance to look at specimens of various subterranean amphipods. If you have an interest in subterranean faunas in general, or in subterranean amphipods, this is the session for you!

If you are interested in attending this session, please contact Megan.Porter@usd.edu by July 10, 2013. Space in the workshop is limited, so participants will be accepted on a first-come basis. If accepted to attend, we will contact you with the information on the session time and location.
