INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

The Hellenic Speleological Archives is an International Journal and it is published at irregular intervals. It publishes original articles from all fields of study related to the caves of Greece that contain background data. Such articles can be bibliographies, lists of findings (biological, palaeontological, archaeological, etc), data tables, observations etc. Papers will be refereed with the assistance of external referees, before published. Papers are published in separate fascicules in English and optionally in Greek as well. They include the title, the authors, their addresses, a summary, an introduction, the main text and the references. Two copies of the articles, printed in a good quality printer, and on CD for IBM compatible computers in ASCII format, must be submitted.

ARTICLE FORM

The articles must be printed in A4 pages with margins of 2.5 cm. The title must be centred at the top of the first page in small bold letters. Below it, follow the name(s) of the author(s) in capitals and below them, the address in small letters. The abstract will be in the second page. The chapter headings must be in the centre of the page in small letters. Maps, figures, black & white photographs and tables must be in separate pages. The figure legends must be together in a different page. Colour photographs will not be accepted. The references must following the following type:
SCHAUM, H. 1862. Beitrag zur Kaferfauna Griechenlands. Berl. ent. Z., 6:101-114.
Author citations in text must be in capital letters. The journal abbreviations must follow the World List of Scientific Periodicals. SI system should be used.

Articles accepted by the Editors will become the property of H.I.S.R. No article or any part thereof may be reproduced in whatever form without the written permission of the Publisher. Each author will receive 15 original copies of the article. The Editors and the Publisher of the journal are not responsible for the scientific content and statements of the authors of accepted papers.
