We have plenty of space available for ICS field camp #41 Caves of the Black Hills July 10-13, 2009.
In fact, we are in danger of having to cancel the camp if more people do not sign up! The deadline for registration is Monday, June 1 and we need a few more cavers if this field camp is to happen. We are offering trips into Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, and Reeds Cave, South Dakota. Wind and Jewel are world-class cave resources and are the world's 4th and 2nd longest caves respectively. Don't miss this chance to go on recreational caving trips in these two huge, beautiful caves. Exploration/survey trips will also be offered if there is interest. Trips are horizontal and will generally traverse 1-2 miles of cave. There will be plenty of opportunity for photography.
Check out the informational page at : http://www.ics2009.us/fc41.html and sign up for the trip on the ICS registration page. The cost of the camp is $80 per person and covers food and lodging for the weekend. Trips will be offered Saturday, Sunday, and Friday as well if there is enough interest. There will be a cookout/caver party on Friday night at historic Cavern Wells Ranch complete with artificial "Splinter Cave" and places to hang from ropes.
