Dear Colleague,

I hope you're planning to come to the National Cave & Karst Management Symposium, October 8-12, 2007, in St. Louis. A preview of the Symposium can be seen at http://www.utexas.edu/tmm/sponsored_sit ... peleology/

We also have a registration website at http://www.nckms2007.org/

If you are budgeting now for FY08, please be aware that the registration fee will be $120 each ($150 after Sept. 1). Registration includes all sessions, the Monday evening reception, Tuesday through Thursday lunches, the Wednesday field trip and evening meal, and the Thursday night banquet. The hotel room is $89 per night, but it can be split with another person. Other meals are at your expense. The Tuesday night photo exhibit and speaker panel at Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center are free to you and the public!

Please see the call for papers on the website. If you want to give a paper, just send me a working title for now, so I can fit it in the right session. Or, you can give a poster. Final titles and abstracts are due Sept. 1.

Sincerely,

Bill

The 2007 NCKMS Web site has been updated http://www.utexas.edu/tmm/sponsored_sit ... nckms.html

And the preliminary schedule has been posted.

Our schedule is nearly full! We have about 50 papers and 8 posters. The April 1 deadline for working titles and abstracts is past, and newcomers may have to present posters instead. We do need more posters, however.

It's gonna be a superb event! Great presentations by leaders in the field, outstanding networking opportunities, interesting field trips, and lots to learn and discuss. And the symposiums are not nearly as serious and dull as the name might sound.....

If you have any interest at all in any aspect of cave and karst management, you had better plan to attend. :goodjob:

October 8-12, 2007, St. Louis, MO.
