Yeah I could spread the word but most cavers in the DC area think PA caves are a joke (except for a few) which includes me for the few.

DC area cavers think for the most part that most of the caves are small and not worth it but I would say there are some PA caves with a lot of passage worth exploring particularly Kooken and McAllisterville which both happen to be 2 of my favorite caves of all time.

You say that McAllisterville has only a few thousand feet of passage but much of McAllisterville is unmapped I believe. If you do all of the drops down to the stream level and you follow the stream I am pretty sure that the total amount of passage is more than a mile (or very close to it).

I know about the Philadelphia Grotto adding some passage with their dig that made the stream level accessible where you go through that long crawl (dug out by the Philly Grotto) and then down the several drops to this huge pile of mud where it intersects the stream level which continues in both directions. It's possible that the Philadelphia Grotto may have surveyed to this point but I doubt that they surveyed any of the stream passage because the dimensions of the stream passage are very small and it would be even more difficult trying to measure the stream passage with survey gear. And I have the McAllisterville map that shows 2,332 feet but it seems to me that a large portion of the cave on the map is missing.

It may actually only be 2,000 feet and it might have just felt longer because it was so technical to get to the stream level.
